Labour Pains, part II

Some time ago I installed the feedfabrik plugin into my blog and created a nice PDF in book format from all my posts. Oh my god, it’s 150 pages long! I’ve set up and deleted at least 5 blogs, in the last 10 years (and a few websites before that), and I really don’t know how I’ve managed to keep it up and running for so long, now. It’s a real pity, because I could have seen myself evolve and read my own words as a complete stranger, with all her little joys and concerns.

But returning to this post. My vanity kinda liked the idea of Vladina on a PDF. And printed would have been better still. But I didn’t want to print what’s already online and available. So I registered to Blurb and wrote a few texts to go along with the photos. “It” arrived yesterday: it’s a small 18×18 booklet printed on awesome paper and contains some images you already know and a few things I couldn’t restrain myself from writing.

It can be previewed, and you can even buy it in various formats, even though it was intended to be hardcover with a dust jacket.

  5. Hey! thank you ๐Ÿ˜€

  6. Hey!
Do you think there will be a sequence to ‘Labour Pains’? and I have one more question concerning the two images in the book, on pages 6-7 and 18-19. Did you crop them yourself or is it blurb? because i know the original version of these two photographs.

  7. Oh, so it was you ๐Ÿ˜€

I don’t know, actually: I loved doing it, so I may in time give birth to another.

As to the crop: it’s intentional. P. 6-7 is the closest I could get to the original format, which is quite non standard actually. And I’ve tried many different versions of 18-19 p. pic, but these are the ones I liked most.

    Hope you like it!

    :*

  8. Good post, but much too much.
